GigTide.com Unveils Social Media Resumes

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 15, 2008 -- GigTide.com continues to implement new upgrades and features as registered users steadily increase. In the last month, the Online Resume Builder has nearly doubled the number of resumes created on their site and by the end of February, expects to serve over 1,000 users since their launch in December 2007. The most exciting upgrade to date features enhanced functionality applied to each of the available resume templates, which allows customers to include social media elements. Users with premium subscriptions can make resumes available to search engines, add social book-marking capabilities, link resumes to social networking sites such as LinkedIn or Facebook, upload a picture, embed a YouTube video, share RSS feeds, track resumes through Google Analytics and provide additional contact methods through Skype, Yahoo Messenger, AIM or Live Messenger. In addition, interested employers can now use an "in-resume" contact form which is both emailed to the user upon completion, and allows the job-seeker to capture employer contact information to be stored in their contacts within the GigTide.com dashboard.

"In a job-market where are there are reportedly at least 40,000,000 resumes posted on the Internet, all competing for attention from recruiting and hiring managers, the addition of social media elements supports our ultimate goal of providing job-seekers with the means to develop professional, well-designed, unique resumes that will differentiate them from the competition," said Micah Johnson, Founder and CEO of Chief Ingredient, Inc which is responsible for the development of GigTide.com. Users can upload a picture to their resume and even include a video resume or cover letter via YouTube. "By including a video resume or cover letter, job-seekers can demonstrate their personal brand with audio and visual cues, and with appropriateness to the target employer audience."

Additional GigTide.com enhancements include new subscription options, a 3D template browser and an updated interface theme. Users can take advantage of an unlimited free subscription and upgrade to a premium subscription at anytime which allows the development of an unlimited number of resumes for varying target audiences, provides access to all charting and reporting functionality, and the ability to utilize the new social media elements.

GigTide.com has also developed a Private Label Program that offers organizations a customized, private labeled version of the online resume builder, which can be loaded dynamically into their website and made available to their customer base as their own service. Organizations such as employment agencies, universities, community colleges and freelance resume writers can customize the interface with their own logo, color theme and provide their own resume writing tips.
